Lipscomb University in Nashville seeks a Resident Assistant (RA) for the 2027-2028 academic year. The RA will promote a safe, scholarly, and spiritually supportive living environment for residents, serving as a positive student leader with a commitment to confidentiality and service.

The role is on-site, part-time, and federal work-study eligible. RAs are expected to be accessible, coordinate hall activities, uphold university policies, and collaborate with Residence Life staff to support

Qualifications

Minimum 2.75 GPA required.
Lipscomb University on-campus residency preferred.
Commit to up to 15 hours per week.
Available most weekends; schedule must accommodate university activities.

Responsabilités

Be available and accessible to residents, spending time on hall and engaging with the hall/floor community.
Assist residents with personal, spiritual, relational, social, emotional, and academic concerns while maintaining confidentiality and referring to resources as needed.
Know residents by name and face to foster inclusion and community.
Work cooperatively with RAs and RHDs across buildings; maintain respectful relations with staff and supervisors.
Enforce policies consistently and communicate the Community Contract to residents.
Attend weekly meetings and participate in dorm-wide programming; complete administrative duties on time.
