Job summary

Motlow State Community College is actively seeking a Librarian to oversee the campus library, provide reference services, and conduct information literacy instruction both on campus and online. The role includes collaboration with faculty and staff to support student success.

Minimum qualifications include an MLS/MLIS from a regionally accredited program, with preference for ALA accreditation and 2 years of college/university library experience.

Qualifications

• Master of Library Science or Master of Library and Information Science earned from a regionally accredited institution.
• Preferred: MLS/MLIS with ALA accreditation and 2 years’ college/university library experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for the campus library, including budget management and staff guidance.
• Assist and teach students, faculty, and community users to access physical and digital information via the library catalog.
• Deliver information literacy instruction and library orientations for students and community members.
