Job summary

Del Mar College is seeking a Campus Librarian to manage and coordinate the campus library’s operations and services for students and staff. The role emphasizes customer service, collaboration with faculty, and leadership in library initiatives.

The position requires an ALA-accredited MLS, several years of professional library experience, and the ability to supervise staff. Nights/weekends and travel to other campuses may be required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Library or Information Science from an ALA-accredited institution.
• Three years of professional library experience.
• Two years supervisory experience (preferred).
• Two years experience providing reference services (preferred).
• Two years experience providing information literacy instruction (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Oversees all campus library activities and coordinates daily operations.
• Works with Head of Library Public Services to align with district initiatives.
• Partners with campus faculty to ensure consistent library services.
• Maintains safety and building coordination for the library.
• Provides information services and training to patrons in person and virtually.
• Develops and maintains collections, guides, and online resources.
• Travels to other campuses as needed.
• Meets with supervisor regularly and contributes to committees.
