Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Landscape Services Supervisor on the UT Main Campus. This role provides leadership and hands-on oversight for care, maintenance, and enhancement of landscaped grounds, coordinating mowing, irrigation repair, fertilization, and pruning while managing staff and resources.

You will supervise crews, track time and performance, order materials, support campus events, and ensure safety and compliance with campus policies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in horticulture or related field or equivalent experience.
Five years in landscape maintenance with four years in supervision.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong communication and teamwork.
Valid driver's license and driving record; pesticide applicator license within 6 months.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise landscaping crews and manage records, timekeeping, and evaluations.
Ensure campus landscape standards for turf, shrubs, irrigation, and hardscape.
Monitor UT Works and enter daily labor records; process work orders.
Order supplies and materials; manage schedules and safety procedures.
Support campus events with overtime and labor coordination as needed.
Maintain PPE usage and safe working conditions; perform other duties as assigned.
