Job summary

New Mexico Highlands University in Las Vegas, NM seeks a Help Desk Technician to ensure smooth operation of computer, telephone, printer, and classroom technology. You will receive, prioritize and resolve end user requests, providing in-person, hands-on help at the desktop level and outstanding campus service.

The role requires 1 year of technology support experience and an Associate degree; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming help requests from end users in person, by phone, or by e-mail, in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner.
• Provides general problem solving and assistance on software and hardware within ITS scope; escalate where needed and test fixes for resolution.
• Prioritizes problems and projects and researches solutions to issues.
• Documents user requests and problems with contact info and nature of request; maintain confidentiality.
• Collaborates with team to improve internal processes and customer service experience; cross-trains as needed.
• Maintains regular attendance and performs other job-related duties as assigned.
