Job summary

Oberlin College's Center for Information Technology is leading a campus-wide ERP modernization effort, guiding departments to reimagine processes and data access across systems such as Anthology Reach, Engage, and StarRez. The IT Business Analyst will translate needs into workflows, support enterprise applications, and drive improvements in efficiency and user experience.

The role reports to the Associate Director of Enterprise Applications and is on-site, collaborating with Registrar, HR,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Systems, Business Analysis, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience supporting enterprise applications or ERP platforms.
• Strong analytical skills with process mapping, data modeling, or technical documentation.
• Hands-on experience with visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Argos.
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical configurations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with campus departments to review, map, and improve business processes supported by enterprise applications.
• Analyze workflows to identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and enhanced service delivery.
• Develop and support reporting and dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, Argos, or other platforms.
• Partner with IEP/IR to support data governance and quality assurance.
• Act as a subject matter expert for assigned applications and coordinate system upgrades.
