Job summary

HES is seeking an Irrigation Manager to lead the maintenance and operation of a large multi-zone irrigation system on a major Higher Education campus. The role requires an active Texas Landscape Irrigator license and strong coordination with campus facilities and subcontractors.

The position oversees daily irrigation tasks, preventive maintenance, and budget considerations for labor and materials. A High School diploma is required, with a Bachelor's degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Landscape Irrigator License by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).
• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in irrigation maintenance and operations on a large campus.
• Ability to read specifications, blueprints, and manuals.
• Strong communication with clients and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Plan, oversee, and perform irrigation maintenance operations.
• Monitor budget for labor hours and materials.
• Plan and monitor preventive maintenance for grounds equipment.
• Read specifications, blueprints, and manuals for installation and repair.
• Communicate effectively with client and subcontractors about grounds and irrigation maintenance.
