Job summary

Church is seeking a Grounds Services role within Headquarters Facilities to manage irrigation systems and supervise volunteers and staff. The position demands experience with centralized controllers, system maintenance, and safe operation of heavy equipment.

The role is full-time, on-site at Church Headquarters, with 40 hours weekly and benefits. Minimum qualifications include a degree in horticulture or related field and 2+ years irrigation experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in horticulture or related field.
• 2+ years of irrigation experience.
• Basic knowledge of 110 volt electricity.
• Ability to operate and maintain irrigation systems and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, train and lead volunteers and staff.
• Translate assignments into goals and tasks.
• Review performance and counsel on improvements.
• Maintain irrigation systems and related equipment.
• Inspect and repair sprinklers, pipes, valves, and controllers.
• Program watering schedules and winterize systems.
• Retrofit and design new irrigation projects.
• Operate heavy equipment for installation and upgrades.
• Train grounds staff on maintenance and water conservation.
• Collect data to assess irrigation efficiency.

Education

Bachelor's degree in horticulture, plant science, landscape architecture, landscape horticulture or related field or equivalent experience
