Job summary

Ferris Independent School District seeks an experienced Campus Instructional Coach to partner with principals and the curriculum department to enhance teaching and student learning across campus. You will support teachers with instructional strategies, data interpretation, and alignment of lessons to TEKS/SEs, while leading staff development and coaching programs.

Location: Ferris High School (9th–12th); candidates should hold a Texas teaching certificate with 5+ years of K-8 teaching

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from accredited university, Master’s preferred.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate required.
• G/T and ESL certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve on campus leadership team to directly impact teaching and learning.
• Collaborate with campus leadership to establish instructional coaching programs and goals.
• Create an environment of trust and respect with staff.
• Establish a culture of ongoing instructional improvement.
• Provide instructional coaching to teachers and establish access procedures.
• Collaborate with teachers to design instructional units and lessons via CLC.
• Develop processes to link program activities to outcomes.
• Assist in providing instructional strategies within classrooms.
• Provide staff development aligned to campus and district needs.
• Support academic programs as assigned by district leadership.
• Share current research and developments at state/national levels.
• Model effective teaching strategies with students.
• Facilitate meetings and staff development sessions.
• Deliver professional learning to meet campus/district goals.
• Support teacher growth on campus with PD.
• Analyze campus data and report to district leadership and teachers.
• Assist leadership with distribution of instructional materials.
• Train teachers on the use of district instructional materials.
