Job summary

Barbier Security Group (BSG) is hiring a full-time Security Officer for an Incident Response Team at a prestigious private University in Oakland. You will provide dedicated security coverage, de-escalate incidents, and ensure rapid response to emergencies on campus.

The role requires a California Guard Card, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work 24/7 on a swing shift (Friday–Tuesday). Comprehensive benefits and ongoing training are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Possess a current California Guard Card License.
• A valid Driver's License with clean driving record (3 years).
• Reliable transportation and basic computer/smartphone use.
• Ability to communicate in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Experience in security, mobile patrol, or event staff preferred.
• Pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular patrols of assigned areas and monitor campuses.
• Respond swiftly to emergencies or incidents on campus.
• Document incidents accurately and keep logs up to date.
• Operate security equipment (radios, locks, etc.) with dexterity.
• De-escalate conflicts and communicate effectively with the public.
