Job summary

Barbier Security Group (BSG) is a Bay Area security company providing tailored, on-site protection services. We are seeking qualified Security Officers for our Incident Response Team at a prestigious private University in Oakland.

You'll handle de-escalation, crisis management, and precise reporting to safeguard the campus community. This role operates on a 24/7 coverage model, with a Full Time Swing shift (Friday - Tuesday) and a pay rate of $29.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and eligible to work in the United States.
• Current California Guard Card License required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record for 3 years.
• Proficient with basic computer and smartphone usage.
• Ability to report in English; other languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas and monitor campuses and facilities.
• Respond quickly to emergencies and incidents with de-escalation techniques.
• Document events accurately in reports and logs.
• Operate security equipment and maintain professional interactions.
• Maintain focus during long shifts and remain alert to threats.
• Assist in evacuations and emergency response procedures.
• Uphold company and client policies with professionalism.
