Job summary

Loomis Chaffee School in Windsor, CT seeks an experienced full-time HVAC Technician to maintain and repair campus HVAC systems across multiple buildings. The role emphasizes boilers, chillers, hydronic systems, and building automation, with a focus on safety and reliability.

The ideal candidate will hold a CT S-2 license or equivalent, have 5+ years of commercial/institutional HVAC experience, and be able to read schematics and coordinate with contractors.

Qualifications

• Connecticut S-2 license or equivalent required/preferred for the role.
• Minimum five years of progressively responsible HVAC/mechanical experience.
• Experience with chillers, boilers, hydronic systems, and controls preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of HVAC systems campus-wide.
• Maintain heating/cooling equipment including boilers, chillers, pumps, AHUs, and rooftop units.
• Diagnose problems and troubleshoot electrical/controls issues within licensing requirements.
• Operate the campus Building Management System and adjust schedules/alarms.
• Coordinate with outside contractors and ensure safe, compliant operations.
