Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation and performance of campus HVAC, mechanical, and Building Automation Systems.
• Direct, supervise, mentor, and evaluate HVAC and controls personnel; provide technical guidance and promote staff development.
• Manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs for chillers, air handling units, pumps, and related equipment; monitor condition and failures to improve reliability.
• Oversee BAS programming, scheduling, alarms, trending, sequences of operation, and troubleshooting to improve energy efficiency and comfort.
• Support new construction, renovations, and capital projects by reviewing designs and coordinating with engineers, contractors, and Facilities staff.
• Prioritize and coordinate corrective maintenance; communicate outages and service impacts to Facilities leadership and campus customers.
• Identify opportunities to reduce energy consumption and operating costs; balance energy savings with comfort and operational needs.
