Job summary

ENGIE North America is seeking an experienced High Voltage Operations & Maintenance Manager in Columbus, OH. You will lead engineering, planning, and maintenance for high-voltage systems supporting OSU and ENGIE-owned utilities, ensuring safe, reliable power delivery and cost-effectiveness.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience, supervisory background, and CMMS/MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field, or a high school diploma with 6+ years’ relevant HV/MV experience.
• 2+ years supervisory experience providing administrative and technical direction.
• Experience with CMMS and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.

Responsibilities

• Plan short- and long-range HV/MV utility projects for ENGIE-operated assets on OSU campus.
• Develop distribution system modification and expansion plans.
• Prepare specifications, cost estimates, and funding requests for improvements.
• Review electrical plans for new construction and renovations; coordinate installations.
• Develop testing, commissioning, and sequencing plans; maintain safety.
• Maintain loading records and update standards for HV/MV portions of campus design standards.
• Provide oversight for operation, maintenance, repair, testing, and commissioning of equipment.
• Lead investigations of power-service issues and respond to emergencies.
• Develop drawings supporting plant operations and maintenance; upgrades as needed.
• Manage annual repair, preventive maintenance budgets; track switchgear maintenance and testing.
• Manage capital projects involving campus electrical systems.
