Job summary

ENGIE North America is seeking an Electrician II at The Ohio State University to perform installation, operation, troubleshooting and maintenance of low to 138,000-volt systems. Reports to the High Voltage Supervisor and will lead a crew, train staff, and inspect contractor work to uphold safety and reliability.

The role requires a high school diploma, completion of electrical apprenticeship, and 2 years' industrial electrical experience; daily site attendance and valid driver's license are

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent education.
• Electrical apprenticeship completed.
• Two years of experience in a commercial/industrial electrical environment.
• Must attend worksites daily.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with clean record; able to drive company vehicle onsite.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, operation, troubleshooting and repair of 15,000–138,000-volt equipment.
• Serve as crew leader; train and supervise junior staff.
• Direct and inspect contractor work and ensure safety standards.
• Read blueprints and schematics; update drawings and maintain records.
• Plan jobs, order materials, diagnose faults, and support ENGIE utility systems.
• Complete other duties to ensure safe plant operations and reliability.
