Job summary

The University of Minnesota’s Housing & Residential Life is seeking an HRL Operations Assistant (Temporary/Casual) to provide flexible operational support across residence halls, apartments, and the central housing information desk. The role assists with occupancy management, contracts, and customer service while supporting residents, student employees, and campus partners.

• Operational or administrative experience.
• Experience with computers.
• Experience providing customer service.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support within residence hall and apartment offices as assigned.
• Assist with housing contract policies and occupancy reporting.
• Support room changes, check-ins/outs, and contract release processes.
• Monitor keys use and coordinate lock changes with Facilities Management.
• Coordinate scheduling of common spaces and respond to inquiries via the CRM.
