Job summary

Baylor University in Waco, TX invites applications for a Student Worker - Help Desk+ Support Consultant. This role provides front-line IT help to students, faculty, and staff, assisting with computer hardware, software, printers, and network connectivity at Moody Library.

You will learn to diagnose issues, install software, train users, maintain equipment, and support inventory and admin tasks while upholding university policies and ensuring data security; minimum 10 hours per week, pay

Responsibilities

• Receive and release computers for service and resolve software/connectivity/printing issues.
• Respond to inquiries regarding hardware, software, printers, and wireless network issues.
• Diagnose and resolve technical problems related to computer systems, software, printers, and network connectivity.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer software applications.
• Provide support for applications, networks, and printers.
• Provide training to faculty, staff, and students on using technology resources.
• Ensure the security and confidentiality of sensitive information and data.
• Assist with checking in/out technology equipment.
• Complete daily tasks including emails, inventory, and equipment maintenance.
• Perform business operations duties for assigned area of responsibility
• Provide excellent customer service to clients
• Ability to prioritize and take initiative
• Assist with various projects, activities and tasks related to business operations
• Ability to comply with University policies
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance
