Syracuse University is seeking a SEIU temporary Head Chef for Graham Dining Hall. This on-campus role requires coordinating upscale menu production, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring high-quality service for events and dining operations.

Regular in-person presence is required, with limited remote options. Responsibilities include planning production, assigning tasks, managing inventory, and maintaining safety and sanitation standards in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of cooking techniques and procedures.
• At least 3 years upscale/high-volume restaurant or catering cooking experience, including management.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to direct and assign work to staff.

Responsabilités

• Plan and coordinate preparation and production of food for catered functions, restaurant and food courts.
• Set production schedules for events occurring simultaneously at multiple locations.
• Instruct support staff in methods, procedures and equipment usage; assist with menu development.
