Job summary

American Campus Communities is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain the interior and exterior of a student housing community. You will contribute to curb appeal, perform routine cleaning, and support the service team with a variety of maintenance tasks.

The role emphasizes safety, multi-step instructions, and a willingness to learn. Training provided, with opportunities for growth within ACC properties.

Qualifications

• Experience in general labor or property maintenance is preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow multi-step instructions and work safely.
• Training is provided to support success in the role.

Responsibilities

• Clean interior and exterior of the property to standard.
• Groundskeeping including trash collection.
• Vacuum, mop, and shampoo floors; stock bathrooms.
• Assist service team with work orders, moving furniture, and supplies.
• Assist in make-ready duties: trash outs, cleaning, painting.
• Assist in property turnover process.
• Support pool maintenance and pressure washing (if applicable).
• Safely operate facility equipment and keep areas organized.
• Maintain shops, storage, and back-of-house areas.
