Job summary

American Campus Communities is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain student housing properties. You will care for interior and exterior spaces, assist with turnover tasks, and support the service team to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents.

The role emphasizes reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to follow multi-step instructions. Training is provided, with opportunities for growth across properties.

Qualifications

• Experience in general labor or willingness to learn property maintenance.
• Ability to follow multi-step instructions and work safely.
• Must be able to drive a golf cart and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Clean interior and exterior properties to standard.
• Maintain grounds and common areas including trash collection.
• Vacuum, mop, or shampoo floors in resident rooms and common areas; stock bathrooms.
• Assist service team with work orders, moving furniture, and supplies.
• Support turnover tasks including trash outs, cleaning, and painting.
• Assist with pool maintenance (if applicable) and pressure washing.
• Operate facility equipment safely following safety protocols.
• Keep shops, storage areas, and back-of-house spaces organized.
• Take on other duties as assigned by supervisor.
