Governor Morehead School for the Blind in North Carolina is seeking a Grounds Worker I to maintain campus grounds, trees, shrubs, and lawns, ensuring a safe, attractive environment for students and staff.

You will perform planting, pruning, mowing, trimming, and manage irrigation interactions while following safety procedures and operating a range of landscaping equipment. Regular Monday–Friday schedule with potential overtime during weather events.

Qualifikationen

• Two years of grounds work experience or equivalent education.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and perform physical tasks.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and PPE requirements.

Aufgaben

• Plant, cultivate, water, fertilize, and maintain lawns, trees, shrubs, flowers, and landscape beds.
• Prune, trim, shape, and remove trees, shrubs, hedges, and other vegetation as needed.
• Mow lawns and maintain grounds for a clean, professional appearance.
• Operate landscaping equipment safely.
• Assist with irrigation system installation and maintenance.
• Maintain sidewalks and parking areas in safe condition.
• Follow oral and written instructions and complete assigned work.
