Job summary

Asheboro City Schools is seeking a Grounds Keeper to support maintenance across district facilities, including athletic fields, landscaping, and general upkeep. Under supervision, you will operate mowers, edgers, and other equipment, and assist with event setup and basic repairs.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid NC driver's license with a safe driving record. Prior landscape experience and irrigation knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous landscape work experience and operation of motorized equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain outdoor spaces of district facilities, including landscaping and debris removal.
• Operate mowers, trucks, dump trucks, transports equipment, edgers, and other hand tools.
• Inventory and account for materials, tools, and equipment.
• Maintain knowledge of the district's work order system and document flow.
