Job summary

American Campus Communities seeks a Groundskeeper for University Walk in Charlotte, NC. You will maintain buildings and grounds, including common areas and amenities, to boost curb appeal and property value.

Training is provided; prior facilities maintenance helpful. Duties include light labor, trash collection, cleaning, painting, and turnover support, with safety protocols followed at all times.

Qualifications

• Ability to drive a golf cart and lift/move up to 50 lbs.
• Knowledge of general labor, housekeeping and cleaning tasks.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, MSDS instructions and procedures.
• Ability to follow written or verbal multi-step instructions.

Responsibilities

• Clean the interior and exterior of the property to standard.
• Property groundskeeping, including trash collection.
• Vacuum/mop/shampoo floors in resident rooms and common areas; stock bathrooms.
• Assist the service team with work orders, moving furniture, and supplies.
• Support make-ready duties, including trash outs, cleaning, and painting.
• Assist in property turnover processes.
• Support pool maintenance (if applicable) and pressure washing.
• Operate all facility equipment safely and keep tools organized.
• Maintain clean and orderly shops and storage areas; perform other duties as assigned.
