Job summary

South Florida State College is seeking a dedicated Grounds Maintenance Supervisor to oversee campus care, landscaping and equipment on a full-time basis. You will schedule staff, supervise daily operations, and ensure attractive, safe grounds consistent with the college’s standards.

Work hours are Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm. Responsibilities include coordinating tasks, inspecting grounds, managing irrigation maintenance, training personnel, and supporting college events while

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary certification preferred.
• At least 3 years of grounds maintenance experience; supervisory/leadership background preferred.
• Limited Lawn and Ornamental spray license required; licensure within 90 days if not current.

Responsibilities

• Supervise grounds maintenance staff and assign work.
• Inspect grounds and landscaping; direct repairs and upkeep.
• Maintain irrigation systems and coordinate expansion as needed.
• Train personnel and evaluate performance.
• Support college events and ensure safety and compliance.
