Job summary

West Virginia University is seeking a Campus Service Worker / Laborer for Roads and Grounds. The role supports faculty, staff and events across campus and regional sites, handling moves, set-ups, and grounds maintenance.

You will operate light and heavy moving equipment, perform snow removal, manage inventory, and assist in special events with flexible hours and required overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• 0–6 months of directly related experience.
• All qualifications must be met by the time of employment.

Responsibilities

• Relocates offices and classrooms within buildings and throughout campus using hand trucks and dollies.
• Operates box vans, forklifts and other moving equipment to transport furniture and equipment.
• Performs snow removal, grounds maintenance, and litter collection across campus.
• Assists in setting up event spaces, stages, tents, and seating as needed.
