Job summary

Adams and Associates on the Shriver Job Corps campus in Devens, MA seeks a food service team member to assist in meal prep and service, maintain sanitation, and support students aged 16–24 in a respectful, helpful manner.

You will ensure food, supplies, and equipment are available, help with cleanup, and participate in department supervision while upholding safety and quality standards; a ServSafe certification is required within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current ServSafe certification or ability to obtain ServSafe Food Handler certification within 90 days of hire.
• Experience in a food services operation desired.
• Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching. Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and / or the ability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and serving of meals.
• Assist with kitchen clean-up and sanitizing of all food service areas.
• Ensure that food, supplies, and equipment are available as needed and stored properly when not in use.
• May supervise Job Corps' Work-Based Learning students assigned to the department.
• Provide superior customer service at all times.
