Job summary

Adams and Associates, Inc. in Massachusetts seeks a dedicated kitchen assistant to support meal preparation and service for students. You will help prepare food, present meals, and assist with sanitation to keep all food areas clean and safe.

In this role you may supervise Work-Based Learning students, train new staff, and ensure timely, high-quality meals. Strong customer service and the ability to lift 40 pounds are important, along with ServSafe credential eligibility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• ServSafe certification required.
• Experience in food service preferred.
• Ability to obtain ServSafe credentials.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and presentation of quality food.
• Render good customer service skills and engage students.
• Assist in kitchen clean-up, washing dishes, cleaning and sanitizing the food preparation area to ensure sanitation and cleanliness of all food service areas.
• Transport finished meals from preparation area to serving line and keep serving counters stocked with prepared food.
• Produce quality work in a thorough, timely and accurate manner.
• Mentor and supervise Work-Based Learning students as assigned.
• Provides high-quality supervision and management for the student population.
