Job summary

Yavapai-College seeks a temporary part-time Fitness Center attendant to assist users in the YC Fitness Center in Clarkdale, AZ. The role includes supervising opening/closing, guiding patrons on equipment, and maintaining a clean, safe weight room.

Two years in fitness or related field and strong customer service skills are required; other duties as assigned. Work is 0-19 hours per week at $16 per hour, with on-site duties in the college fitness facility.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience in fitness, training, or related field.
• Excellent customer service skills including personal and telephone
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize and adhere to deadlines
• Ability to work independently under general supervision
• Work experience in a community college/higher education environment
• National certification or degree in related field

Responsibilities

• Provides coverage, opening/closing for the YC Fitness Center
• Assists patrons with instruction on use of machines/equipment as needed
• Ensures weight room is clean
• Maintains safe use of facility and its equipment
• Monitor use of equipment and patrons to avoid abuse or unsafe conditions
• Distribute and collect towels, or other small equipment items
• Other related duties as assigned
