Job summary

Yavapai College’s Skilled Trades Center seeks a motivated Student Worker to support instructors and maintain safe, organized lab spaces at the Verde Valley Campus in Clarkdale. This in-person role offers hands-on exposure to tools, equipment, and real-world trades environments while balancing school commitments.

The position requires students enrolled in at least 6 credits, ability to work up to 19 hours weekly, and a focus on reliability, teamwork, and safety.

Qualifications

• Student must be enrolled in 6 credits and in good standing.
• Strong teamwork and reliability required.
• Interest in skilled trades or hands-on lab environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tools, equipment, and materials for hands-on labs.
• Set up and clean up lab spaces before and after classes.
• Perform routine and deep cleaning of lab areas, workstations, tools, and equipment.
• Organize, inventory, and store tools and materials.
• Assist instructors during lab classes as directed.
• Monitor and support safe lab practices and safety precautions.
• Report damaged or missing equipment to instructors.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
