Job summary

Century College seeks a part-time Fitness Center Assistant / College Laboratory Assistant 2 to coordinate the operations of the Fitness Center, serving as a classroom for PE courses and an open facility for Century students and staff.

The role includes supervising student workers, maintaining equipment, and providing orientations and materials to ensure safe, effective use by all users. Evening hours and a seasonal schedule support campus programs.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in Physical Education or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or related field.
• Experience or ability to operate varied audio-visual equipment and computers including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation of the Fitness Center during PE classes and open hours.
• Provide orientations and instruction on safe use of Fitness Center facilities.
• Maintain equipment and supplies; supervise student workers; assist in creating instructional materials.
• Complete department projects and administrative tasks as assigned.
