Ventura County Community College District seeks a College Fiscal Services Supervisor to lead and supervise campus fiscal services, ensure compliance with policy and the California Community Colleges Budget and Accounting Manual, and act as a primary technical resource for campus employees.

One full-time vacancy is located at Oxnard College, reporting to the Vice President, Business Services. Salary ranges from $86,748 to $120,504 annually for a 40-hour week and districtwide responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Four years of professional accounting experience; public sector accounting experience and supervisory/lead capacity preferable.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, coordinate, and supervise the fiscal services functions of a college campus, including oversight of cashiering.
• Oversee preparation of financial and statistical reports; maintain records of income, expenditures, budgets, programs, and grants; review and audit statements for accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Supervise staff handling grant budgets; audit and prepare categorically funded program budgets for Banner input.
• Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc financial reports.
• Serve as a technical resource on accounting functions; respond to inquiries and provide information on transactions, budgets, rules, and funding sources.
• Analyze and revise accounting processes to improve efficiency; monitor budget and year-end projections; advise executive management on budget issues.
• Select, train, evaluate staff; manage work schedules; hire and supervise student workers; conduct evaluations and discipline as needed.
• Monitor position control to track permanent staff, vacancies, and salary savings for reallocation.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, students, and diverse communities; demonstrate equity-mindedness and cultural humility.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, public administration, finance, or a related field
