Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in fire safety inspections preferred.
• NFPA standards knowledge a plus for emergency lighting.
• Strong safety mindset and safe work practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with computer software for data entry and reports.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong customer service skills and positive relationships.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive inspections of emergency lighting on a college campus per codes and standards.
• Assist senior inspectors with fire alarm and sprinkler system inspections as needed.
• Identify and document deficiencies with clear corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain inspection schedules and timelines.
• Communicate progress and deficiencies to campus representatives clearly.
• Work independently and manage daily tasks with safety as priority.
• Maintain ongoing communication with supervisor and account rep about status and site concerns.
• Provide professional customer service and positive relationships with campus staff.
