Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an Inspector to perform routine inspections, testing, service and preventive maintenance on Fire and Security product lines, using low voltage wiring and related devices. You will document results and follow a structured inspection schedule.

The role requires strong problem-solving, ability to lift up to 70 lbs, weekend flexibility, and a valid driver’s license with a commitment to customer service. NICET certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Documented experience in low voltage electrical and Fire/Security systems.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record meeting company requirements.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Aptitude for troubleshooting systems.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Capable of lifting 50–70 lbs and performing physical labor.
• Able to work in ladders, scaffolding and up to 40 ft heights.
• Flexible hours including on-call weekends.
• Strong customer service and teamwork.
• Self-starter who can work with supervision.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections, testing, service and preventative maintenance on Fire and Security product lines.
• Work with low voltage wiring and associated devices.
• Complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding via laptops or paper.
• Follow and maintain a structured inspection schedule.
• Input, retrieve and archive inspection documents.
