Job summary

Johnson Controls in the United States seeks an Inspector to perform routine inspections, testing and maintenance on Fire and Security product lines, working with low voltage wiring and related devices. You will input and archive inspection documents via a laptop and complete service acknowledgements.

Required: experience with low voltage electrical systems, valid driver’s license, high school diploma; ability to lift 50–70 lbs, climb ladders, crawl spaces; flexible hours including weekends.

Qualifications

• Documented experience in low voltage electrical systems and Fire and/or Security Systems.
• Possess a valid driver’s license with a driving record meeting company requirements.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Aptitude for troubleshooting systems and following instructions.
• Able to lift 50–70 lbs and work in ladders, ducts, crawl spaces, or similar spaces.
• Willing to work flexible hours including on-call rotations and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections, testing, service and preventative maintenance on Fire and Security product lines and related equipment.
• Work with low voltage wiring and associated devices to operate systems.
• Complete service acknowledgements with proper coding via laptops or hard copy.
• Maintain a structured inspection schedule and archive documents electronically.
• Complete assigned inspections on time and demonstrate strong customer service.
