Job summary

Indian Creek School in Crownsville, Maryland seeks a Facilities Maintenance Associate to help operate and care for its buildings, grounds, athletic and performing arts facilities, and campus infrastructure. You will perform routine repairs, handle work orders in FMX, and prepare spaces for classes, events, and rentals.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in building or facilities maintenance or a related trade, school campus experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize needs, and complete work to a high standard.
• Comfortable using digital systems and applications (Outlook, FMX, HVAC, lighting controls, SIS).

Responsibilities

• Check spaces, doors, and entry points at start of day and throughout shift; correct routine issues and report safety concerns.
• Perform minor carpentry, patching, painting, and basic repairs; replace lamps and filters.
• Complete scheduled preventive maintenance and use FMX for work orders and documentation.
• Assist with contractor access and follow-up for outside repairs as directed by the Director of Facilities.
• Set up and break down spaces for events and facility rentals.
• Support snow removal, drills, and campus safety operations.
• Follow safety procedures and complete required training.
