Job summary

Lone Star College System Office is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to perform beginner-level maintenance, repairs, and installations on campus buildings, equipment, and systems. This role supports daily operations, ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment for students, faculty, and staff.

The position requires basic carpentry knowledge, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work with others on projects across multiple campuses.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of carpentry and general building systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with work order management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of buildings including classrooms and offices.
• Respond to maintenance requests and work orders promptly.
• Assist in general carpentry, painting, and drywall repairs.
• Maintain and repair doors and windows.
• Collaborate with staff to complete projects and repairs.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
