Job summary

Centre College is seeking a General Services Technician to support Facilities Management on campus. The role includes event setup, furniture handling, deliveries, and building maintenance tasks across a dynamic collegiate environment.

You will work independently and as part of a team, ensuring safe, efficient operations, timely responses to work orders, and collaboration with faculty, staff, and external vendors. This is a on‑site, full‑time position in Danville, KY.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required.
• Experience in event setup, material handling, moving services, warehouse operations, facilities maintenance, or related work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, arrange, and remove tables, chairs, staging, and other equipment for campus events.
• Transport, load, unload, and assemble furniture and equipment as needed.
• Receive, store, inventory, and distribute furniture, equipment, and supplies; maintain storage areas and records.
• Clean and maintain gutters, rooftops, and other building areas; assist with seasonal maintenance.
• Operate light and medium‑duty vehicles and equipment; assist with shipping, receiving, and deliveries.
• Coordinate with vendors and provide access for contractors; assist with mail and deliveries.
• Follow safety policies and PPE usage; support diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging.
