Job summary

Galen College of Nursing is seeking a Custodial Facilities Technician in Louisville. You will perform routine custodial work across campus spaces, maintain supplies, and support security coverage while upholding a clean, safe campus environment.

You will follow a scheduled cleaning routine, handle minor repairs, and assist with grounds and facility maintenance to ensure a welcoming learning atmosphere for students and staff.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate orally with coworkers, customers, and students.
• Stand for long periods; lift 25–50 lbs.
• Minimal supervision required.

Responsibilities

• Perform interior and exterior custodial duties for campus spaces.
• Maintain inventory of custodial supplies and notify supervisor for orders.
• Respond to emergency cleaning requests as needed.
• Assemble and repair items as required.
• Use basic hand tools and cleaning equipment.
• Replace light bulbs and other supplies as needed.
• Paint and repair walls, doors, frames, etc.
• Take on additional custodial duties as assigned.
• Carry out minor security-related tasks as needed.
• Follow daily, weekly, and quarterly maintenance schedules.
