Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Utility Worker at Dillard University. You will support kitchen and facility operations by maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in food production and service areas.

The role involves washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, restocking supplies, and assisting with setup and breakdown tasks as needed. The position requires the ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, and work varying shifts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• No related work experience.
• Knowledge of sanitation procedures, to include basic concepts of food safety.

Responsibilities

• Washes dishes by hand or uses a dishwashing machine.
• Clean and sanitize worktables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.
• Sweep, mop, clean and vacuum floors.
• Remove trash and garbage to designated areas.
• Clean equipment using specific chemicals to ensure sanitary standards.
• Restock supplies like soap, paper towels, and cleaning materials.
• Walk or move around the premises extensively.
• Ability to stand for extended periods during a shift.
