Job summary

Stony Brook University seeks an Associate Facilities Manager to oversee operations, safety, and space management for SoMAS facilities on the South Campus. You will diagnose HVAC, plumbing, and electrical issues, coordinate renovations, and supervise space planning and equipment management.

The role requires a degree (or nine years combined experience) and a NYS driver’s license, with on-site work including occasional off-hours support and event coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher plus five years of directly related full-time experience.
• Master’s degree with three years of directly related full-time experience.
• In lieu of a degree, nine full-time years of education and relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct maintenance, repair, and upkeep of South Campus buildings.
• Serve as primary contact for building issues and off-hour emergencies.
• Oversee safety standards, inspections, and space management.
