Qualifications

• Must meet qualifications of Trades Specialist (Carpenter) plus one year of trades experience.
• Four years of full-time carpentry experience under a skilled tradesperson or equivalent training.
• Ability to read architectural blueprints and interpret plans.
• Ability to train and supervise others.
• Complete pre-employment physical exam, references, drug screen and regulatory screenings.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and plan work for a crew of skilled, semiskilled and unskilled employees.
• Use carpentry hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment as required.
• Examine blueprints to determine dimensions, materials and labor.
• Assign staff to projects and provide instructions and plans.
• Coordinate activities with other trades and schedule work to stay on track.
• Inspect progress and ensure work meets schedule and specifications.
• Inspect outside contractors' work for conformance to specs.
• Keep records of work performed and materials used.
• Prepare written evaluations of subordinates' performance.
