Job summary

The Oxford Hills School District is seeking an experienced Facilities Director to lead building and grounds management to provide a safe, clean, and conducive learning environment. The role reports to the Business Manager and supervises custodial and maintenance staff.

Responsibilities include overseeing daily operations, budgeting, capital improvements, contractor management, and compliance with life-safety codes; involvement in athletics facilities, snow removal, and preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Post-secondary education preferred
• Extensive experience in plant management
• Experience/Training in staff supervision and evaluation
• Computer proficiency

Responsibilities

• Oversees the daily operations of maintenance and custodial departments.
• Prepares and manages the annual budgets for these departments in consultation with other administrators.
• Supervises the assignments, supervision, and evaluation of maintenance and custodial staff.
• Works with the Superintendent, Business Manager, Principals and School Board in developing and maintaining a capital improvements plan.
• Supervises the bid process and manages supply inventories.
• Negotiates with and hires contractors to provide services, as necessary.
• Plans for and conducts staff development for the departments.
• Oversees new construction and renovation projects, as necessary.
• Establishes and maintains a regular program of preventive maintenance.
