Job summary

Duke University is seeking a Facility Operations Planner to supervise and coordinate maintenance for building systems, assets, and renovation projects across campus. You’ll partner with trades professionals, supervisors, customers, contractors, and University stakeholders to plan, coordinate, and optimize activities that support learning, research, healthcare, and administration.

This role combines technical planning, customer service, and problem-solving to deliver reliable facility services

Qualifications

Associate degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Computer Science, or related field.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Three+ years in an operations planning, maintenance planning, facilities management, work management, or operations leadership role preferred.
Two years of experience supporting customers and skilled trade teams in facilities operations, maintenance, construction, or related service environment.

Responsibilities

Receive, evaluate, and process work requests using the EAM system.
Create, assign, track, and close work orders; monitor progress.
Coordinate priorities, develop schedules, and partner with supervisors.
Maintain work histories, repair records, and job cost information in EAM.
Plan, schedule, track, and document maintenance activities across building systems.
