Job summary

Excelsior University is seeking a Facilities Manager to ensure the efficient operation and safety of the Albany campus. As the on-site contact, you will oversee vendor services, space readiness, and compliance with safety standards, supervising a small on-site team and coordinating with a property management company.

This role also serves as a point of contact for additional Excelsior University sites within the United States.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or associate degree in facilities management, business administration, or related field preferred.
Experience in facilities or site management, preferably in higher education or corporate environments.
Experience supervising staff and managing vendor relationships.

Responsibilities

Act as the primary on-site contact for all campus operations, ensuring a safe, functional, and welcoming environment.
Monitor and manage services provided by the property management company, including janitorial, landscaping, snow removal, and building maintenance.
Respond to urgent site issues and coordinate emergency repairs with external vendors and management.
Oversee main reception function and mailroom operations for the institution.
Serve as point of contact for other Excelsior University sites as they are established in the US.
