Excelsior University seeks a Facilities Manager to ensure efficient operation and safety at the Albany campus. You will be the on-site point of contact, coordinating with a property management company and overseeing a small team to maintain a welcoming environment for staff and visitors.

You will oversee vendor services, space readiness, and compliance with health, safety, and accessibility standards, while acting as liaison for other Excelsior sites as they grow across the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree preferred in facilities or related field.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to safety.
• Experience supervising staff and managing vendor relationships.

Responsabilités

• Serve as primary on-site contact for campus operations and safety.
• Oversee vendor services (janitorial, landscaping, maintenance).
• Coordinate urgent repairs with external vendors and management.
• Manage reception, mailroom, and front-desk operations.
• Support space setup for events and meetings; handle bookings.
• Maintain preventive maintenance schedules within budget; ensure safety compliance.
• Act as site emergency coordinator and liaison for other Excelsior sites.
• Supervise on-site team and provide scheduling and feedback.
• Handle RFPs, bid reviews, and contract documentation as needed.
• Serve as backup for site security and participate in professional development.
