Job summary

Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) is seeking a facilities maintenance professional to support the Saunders College of Business and campus operations. Reports to the Director of Technical Services & Building Operations and contributes to a dynamic academic environment.

This temporary position runs through January 7, 2028 and encompasses preventive maintenance, project coordination, event support, and hands-on repairs to ensure a safe, functional campus for students and staff.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in related field.
• 7 years of related experience.
• Equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Implements preventative maintenance plans for campus housing and facilities.
• Executes short-term and long-term renovation projects in collaboration with other RIT departments.
• Utilizes work order systems to track maintenance requests and priorities; assist maintenance staff as needed.
• Coordinates with campus partners to address renovation and safety needs for a functional student environment.
• Oversees day-to-day operations and event scheduling for designated facilities; serves as primary contact for users.
• Acts as primary facilities contact in absence of the Associate Director and supports on-call maintenance.
