Job summary

Rochester Institute of Technology is seeking an Event Operations Lead to hire, train, supervise, schedule, and evaluate student staff for a wide range of campus events. This role reports to Facilities Management and participates in the event leadership team.

As part of the team, you will coordinate event-day logistics, oversee inventory, and ensure safety protocols are followed, collaborating with campus partners to deliver memorable experiences for students and guests. Hybrid work offered.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and coordinates events and meetings across university facilities and conference rooms.
• Ensures facilities and conference rooms are prepared according to event specifications.
• Communicates with event organizers to understand and facilitate special event accommodations.
• Arranges routine maintenance, upgrades, and repairs to ensure smooth event operations.
• Helps maintain safety measures and protocols across facilities and conducts safety checks.
• Serves as a liaison between facilities management, contractors, and vendors.
