The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is seeking a Campus Maintenance Mechanic for the Nashville Fairgrounds. You will perform skilled maintenance and repair of building systems and campus assets.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, inspections of mechanical systems, and assisting with event setup and vendor coordination. You will operate heavy equipment and keep detailed maintenance records while ensuring safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with two years of skilled maintenance/repair experience.
• Or eight years of facility maintenance experience with safety training.
• Powered Industrial Truck certification within six months of employment.
• Defensive Driving Course completion within six months of employment.

Responsabilités

• Performs preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment.
• Inspects and monitors mechanical systems including filters, vents, ducts, thermostats, settings and controls.
• Repairs, inspects and maintains venue/campus fixtures, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Maintains safety features: fire extinguishers, alarm/sprinkler systems, signs of vandalism or theft.
• Assists with event setup/tear-down and with exhibit construction.
• Operates and maintains heavy equipment like skid steers, forklifts, scrubbers, telescoping booms.
• Keeps detailed records and coordinates with contractors for repairs.
