HES Facilities Management is seeking a Facilities Technician to perform routine and emergency maintenance across campus buildings, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks. You will work from work orders, document times, and coordinate with supervisors to keep facilities safe and functional.

Qualifications

• Receives instructions to complete work orders on routine or emergency basis.
• Records start/finish times and comments on site per policy.
• Performs repairs/installations of sinks, commodes, valves and water coolers; replaces damaged water lines.
• Measures, cuts, threads and prepares piping for replacement or new installations.
• Performs minor electrical and carpentry repairs.
• Performs daily routine building inspections and reports findings.

Responsibilities

• Repair or replace electrical outlets and lighting fixtures.
• Repair/replace broken electrical switches as needed.
• Perform minor drywall repairs and adjust door hardware.
• Maintain buildings in good operating condition.
• Replace stained ceiling tiles after leaks.
• Oversee outside vendors when necessary.
• Obtain materials and secure supplies for tasks.
• Observe and report unusual or emergency situations to supervision.
• Work with other trades to complete repairs or projects.
• Rotate to cover various shifts as required.
