Job summary

Milton Academy seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform general repairs and preventive maintenance for campus facilities. The role requires hands-on work on buildings and grounds, collaboration with the Facilities Services team, and a strong customer-service orientation toward students, faculty, and staff.

Responsibilities include repairing carpentry, painting, electrical and mechanical equipment, lighting, and responding to service calls and emergencies while prioritizing safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license is required.
• Minimum 3 years of related experience or training.
• Experience repairing small equipment preferred: mowers, weed whackers, etc.
• Technical certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs general repairs of physical plant buildings and grounds.
• Assists in preventive maintenance and repairs of buildings.
• Inspects equipment and determines service requirements.
• Performs re-lamping indoor/outdoor lighting fixtures.
• Conducts campus tours to identify deficiencies.
• Responds to service calls for HVAC, plumbing, lighting, carpentry, and painting.
• Communicates with supervisor on work performed and status of work orders.
• Maintains safety and code compliance; assists in emergencies.
